Pursuant to a notice posted on March 27, 1997, the House Committee on State Recreational Resources met in a public hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Edmund Kuempel at 8:04 am. The roll was answered as follows: Present: Representatives Kuempel; McCall; Hightower; Horn; Longoria; Palmer (6). Absent: Representatives Hilderbran; King; Merritt (3). A quorum was present. HB 1523 The chair laid out HB 1523. Testimony was taken. (Representatives King and Merritt now present.) The chair recognized Representative Merritt to explain the measure.
