Pursuant to a notice posted on April 17, 1997, the House
Committee on State Recreational Resources met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative
Edmund Kuempel at 9:54 am.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Kuempel; McCall; Hilderbran; Horn;
Merritt; Palmer (6).
Absent: Representatives Hightower; King; Longoria (3).
A quorum was present.
HB 966
The chair laid out HB 966.
Representative Kuempel offered a complete committee
substitute.
Representative Merritt offered an amendment to the committee
substitute.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Horn offered an amendment to the committee
substitute.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
The committee substitute, as amended, was adopted without
objection.
The chair directed the staff to incorporate the amendments
into the committee substitute.
Representative Merritt moved that HB 966, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Kuempel; McCall; Hilderbran;
Merritt; Palmer (5).
Nays: Representative Horn (1).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Hightower; King; Longoria (3).
At 9:59 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
