         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 19, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Revenue & Public Education Funding, Select met in a 
         public hearing and was called to order by the Chair, 
         Representative Paul Sadler at 5:10 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Sadler; Hilbert; Brimer; Chisum; 
                   Stiles; Wilson (6).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Craddick; Hernandez; Hochberg; Junell; 
                   Williamson (5).
         
         A quorum was present.

         The committee resumed consideration of HB 4 and HJR 4.
