         Pursuant to a notice posted on November 3, 1997, the House  
         Committee on Revenue & Public Education Funding, Select met in  
         a public hearing and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Paul Sadler at 10:15 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Sadler; Hilbert; Brimer; Craddick;  
                   Hernandez; Stiles; Williamson (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Chisum; Hochberg; Junell; Wilson  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 11:55 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 1:15 pm. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:30 pm and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Sadler.  The roll was answered as  
         follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Sadler; Hilbert; Brimer; Craddick;  
                   Hernandez; Hochberg; Junell; Stiles; Williamson (9). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Chisum; Wilson (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 3:15 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
