Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5,
1997, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative
Clyde Alexander at 12:00 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Alexander; Siebert; Finnell; Hawley;
Pickett; Uher (6).
Absent: Representatives Edwards; Hartnett; Hill (3).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out H.B. 2733 as pending business.
Representative Alexander offered an amendment to the measure.

The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Siebert moved that H.B. 2733, as amended, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Alexander; Siebert; Edwards;
Finnell; Hawley; Pickett; Uher (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Hartnett; Hill (2).
H.B. 3092
The chair laid out H.B. 3092 as pending business.
Representative Alexander offered a complete committee
substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Edwards moved that H.B. 3092, as substituted,
be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to
the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion
prevailed by the following vote:
