         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 15,  
         1997, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Fred Hill at 12:54 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Hill; Clark; Ehrhardt; Shields;  
                   Wohlgemuth (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Bailey; Burnam; Garcia; Hodge (4). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair made a motion to adopt the corrected minutes for  
         April 15, 1997. 
          
         The motion was adopted without objection. 
          
         (Representative Burnam now present.)   
          
         SB 629 
          
         The chair laid out SB 629.   
          
         The chair recognized Representative Clark to explain the  
         measure.   
          
         The bill was left pending without objection.  
          
         At 1:02 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
