         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 13, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Urban Affairs met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Fred Hill at  
         10:15 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Hill; Burnam; Clark; Ehrhardt;  
                   Hodge; Wohlgemuth (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Bailey; Garcia; Shields (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 1:25 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed subject to the call of the chair.
