Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule
11.11, a public hearing of the Senate Interim Finance
Subcommittee on Article III Agencies was held on Thursday,
December 4, 1997 in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at
Austin, Texas.

After standing in recess from December 3, 1997, the committee
reconvened at 9:00 a.m. to transact the following business.
Chairman Moncrief called on representatives from higher
education institutions to answer questions regarding the
committee charges. Invited witnesses appeared as follows:

The Chair announced that the next hearing will focus on
health-related higher education institutions and is scheduled
for January 28, 1998.
There being no further business, at 11:30 a.m., Chairman
Moncrief announced that the committee would stand in recess
subject to the call of the Chair. Without objection, it was
so ordered.
