The Chair laid out the names of the nominees for the Coastal Coordination Council. Senator Truan introduced nominees, John Barrett, and Fred W. Heldenfels. Senator Patterson introduced nominee, Edward F. Stuart. The Chair introduced Robert B. Dunkin. At 2:16 pm, Senator Gallegos moved to consider and report to the Senate with the recommendation that the nominees for the Coastal Coordination Council be confirmed. Senator Barrientos seconded the motion. The Chair asked the Committee Members for unanimous consent to show Senators Shapiro and Brown as voting aye. There being no objection, Senators Shapiro and Brown were shown voting aye. The motion carried with a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. At 2:45 pm, Senator Barrientos moved to consider and report to the Senate with the recommendation that the nominees for the Board of Regents of Texas Tech University be confirmed. Senator Gallegos seconded the motion. The motion carried with a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. The Chair laid out the names for the University of Houston Board of Regents. Senator Lindsay introduced nominee, Eduardo Aguirre, Jr. Senator Brown introduced nominee, Charles E. McMahen. At 3:10 pm, Senator Brown moved to consider and report to the Senate with the recommendation that the nominees for the University of Houston Board of Regents be confirmed. Senator Brown seconded the motion. The Chair asked the Committee Members for unanimous consent to show Senators Shapiro and Barrientos as voting aye.
