The Chair laid out the names of the nominees for the Credit Union Commission. Senator Wentworth introduced nominee, L. Gail Mackie. Senator Patterson introduced nominee, J. Howell Thomas. Senator Shapiro introduced nominee, Garold Base. Senator Barrientos introduced nominee, Richard Glasco, Jr. The Chair introduced nominee, Robert Hayes. At 3:00 pm, Senator Gallegos moved to consider and report to the Senate that the nominees for the Credit Union Commission be confirmed. Senator Barrientos seconded the motion. The motion carried with a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. The Chair laid out the names of the nominees for the Texas Optometry Board. At 4:46 pm, Senator Gallegos moved to consider and report to the Senate with the recommendation that the nominees for the Agriculture Resources Protection Authority, Texas Board of Architectural Examiners, Governing Board of the Texas School for the Deaf, Texas Historical Commission, Texas Council on Offenders with Mental Impairments. Presiding Judge of the Eighth Administrative Judicial Region, Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Board for Lease-Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and Midwestern State University Board of Regents be confirmed. Senator Haywood seconded the motion. The motion carried with a vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. At 4:47 pm, Senator Gallegos moved to consider and report to the Senate with the recommendation that the nominees for the Southwest Travis County Water District Board of Directors be confirmed. Senator Haywood seconded the motion. The motion carried with a vote of 5 ayes, 0 nays, 1 present not voting, and 1 absent. There being no further business, at 4:48 pm Senator Madla moved that the Committee be adjourned.
