The chair laid out the February 26, 1998, minutes and called for revisions. Ms. Karrh and Dr. Kramer proposed two revisions. The chair made a motion to approve the minutes with revisions. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The chair announced that the purpose of the meeting was to hear invited testimony from Texas Department of Human Services nursing home surveyors and nursing home administrators about improving the quality of life for nursing home residents in Texas. The chair called invited panelists to provide committee members with information about improving the quality of life in Texas nursing homes.
