At 1:25 p.m. Senator Carona assumed the chair, laid out HB 1520 and recognized Senator Truan, in the absence of the Senate sponsor, Senator Harris, to explain the bill. A discussion followed. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list. The Chair recognized Senator Truan to explain Committee Amendment No. 1. A discussion followed. Senator Truan moved to adopt Committee Amendment No. 1; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Truan moved that HB 1520 as amended be reported favorably to the full Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. Senators Bivins and Ogden requested unanimous consent to be shown voting aye on HB 1520 as amended; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Sibley moved that CSSB 1276 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. Senator Armbrister requested unanimous consent to be shown voting aye on CSSB 1276; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Carona requested unanimous consent to be shown voting nay on CSSB 1276; without objection, it was so ordered. The motion carried with a vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. The Chair laid out SB 1351 and recognized the Senate sponsor, Senator Shapleigh, to explain the bill.
