Truan, Chairman Senator Kenneth Armbrister Senator John Carona, Vice-Chairman Senator Steve Ogden Senator Teel Bivins Senator Jon Lindsay Senator Bill Ratliff Senator Eliot Shapleigh Senator David Sibley ***** Chairman Truan called the public meeting to order at 11:35 a.m. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted. The Chair laid out HCR 202 and recognized Senator Shapleigh, on behalf of the Senate sponsor, Senator Duncan, to explain the bill. A discussion followed. Senator Bivins moved that HCR 202 be reported favorably to the full Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 2 absent. Senator Bivins moved that the bill be recommended for placement on the Local & Uncontested Calendar, without objection, it was so ordered. Chairman Truan had previously suspended the posting rule to take up and consider HCR 137 without objection. The Chair laid out HCR 137 and recognized the Senate sponsor, Senator Shapleigh, to explain the bill. A discussion followed. Senator Shapleigh moved that HCR 137 be reported favorably to the full Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 2 absent.
