         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.11, a public hearing of the Senate Interim Committee on  
         Public Information was held on Tuesday, December 2, 1997 at  
         the San Antonio Central Library Auditorium, 600 Soledad Plaza,  
         San Antonio, Texas.

              The Chair called the meeting to order at 10:40 am.  There  
         being a quorum present, the following business was transacted.   
          
              The committee heard invited testimony on SB 1069 (75th  
         Legislative Session) and related  matters. 
          
              The committee heard invited testimony on the judicial  
         records exception to the Public Information Act. 
          
              The committee heard invited testimony regarding  
         circumvention of the Public Information  Act's requirements. 
          
              The committee heard public testimony on SB 1069 (75th  
         Legislative Session) and related matters. 
          
              The committee heard public testimony on the judicial  
         records exception to the Public Information Act. 
          
              The committee heard public testimony on the committee  
         charges. 
          
              There being no further business, at 3:45 p.m. Senator  
         Armbrister moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to  
         the call of the Chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
