The Committee will assess the effects of NAFTA on major industrial,
business, agricultural, and labor sectors, as well as trade.  The Committee
will also review any other positive or negative impacts, including such
areas as environmental and public safety issues, and the responses of Texas
economic sectors to changes brought about by NAFTA.

The Committee will hear public testimony.
