      Amend CSHB 1, Rider 41 in Article II (MHMR) by making the
following change in language:
      41.  Option of State School Placement.  The Department of
Mental Health and Mental Retardation shall offer all qualified
<persons>individuals, 18 years and older, seeking assistance for
24-hour care for mental retardation the option of placement in a
state school until all available beds are filled.
