      Amend CSHB 1 on page 72 of bill, in Article II by adding the
following rider to the appropriation for the Department of Mental
Health and Mental Retardation.
      Contingency Appropriation for HB 3341 Contingent upon the
enactment of HB 3341 or SB 863, or similar legislation relating to
housing, rehabilitation, and support needs of individuals with
mental illnesses who reside in certain personal care facilities, by
the 76th Legislature, Regular Session, the Department of Mental
Health and Mental Retardation is hereby appropriated $300,000 for
fiscal year 2000 and $700,000 for fiscal year 2001 out of General
Revenue Funds for the purpose of implementing that Act.   X  Check
if applicable: The Department of Mental Health and Mental
Retardation is hereby authorized to transfer the appropriation made
pursuant to this provision to the appropriate strategy items listed
above. ______Check if applicable: Funds appropriated by this
provision may be expended for capital budget purposes
notwithstanding limitations on capital budget expenditures
elsewhere in this Act. _____Check if applicable: Also contingent on
the enactment of _____, or similar legislation, the "Number of
Full-Time Equivalent Positions (FTE)" figure indicated above is
hereby increased by _____for fiscal year 2000 and by _____for
fiscal year 2001.

      Amend the Naishtat amendment to CSHB 1 to read as follows:
         Amend CSHB 1 on page 72 of the bill, in Article II by
adding the following rider to the appropriation for the Department
of Mental Health and Mental Retardation.
      Implementation of HB 3341 Out of funds appropriated above in
Strategy A.1.2., Training and Supports, $300,000 in fiscal year
2000 and $700,000 in fiscal year 2001 shall be allocated for the
implementation of HB 3341 or SB 863, by the 76th Legislature,
Regular Session, if such Acts become law.
