      Amend CSHB 1 in Article XI by adding the following rider on
p.XI-63, Juvenile Probation Commission:
      Funding for Additional Eligible Students in JJAEPs.  Out of
funds appropriated above in strategy A.2.3., Juvenile Justice
Alternative Education Programs, a maximum of $500,000 in each year
(for a maximum of 90 attendance days per child), is allocated for
any county with a population of at least 72,000 which operates a
JJAEP under the standards of Chapter 37, Texas Education Code.  The
county is eligible to receive funding from the Texas Juvenile
Probation Commission at the rate of $59 per day per student for
students who are required to be expelled under Section 37.007,
Texas Education Code, and who are expelled from a school district
in a county that does not operate a JJAEP.
