      Amend CSHB 1 as follows:
      (1)  In Article XI, under the appropriations to the Board of
Medical Examiners, add the following rider on page XI-83 entitled
"Contingency Appropriation for HB 110":
      _____.  Contingency Appropriation for HB 110.  Contingent
upon the enactment of HB 110, or similar legislation relating to
public access to certain information regarding medical
practitioner, by the Seventy-sixth Legislature, Regular Session,
the Board of Medical Examiners are hereby appropriated $1,132,340
in fiscal  year 2000 and $1,154,869 in fiscal year 2001 out of
general revenue funds, from funds collected through an increase in
fees implemented by this bill, for purposes of implementing the
provisions of that act.  Also contingent on the enactment of HB 110
or similar legislation, the "Number of Full Time Equivalent
Positions (FTE)" figure indicated above is hereby increased by 7.5
for fiscal year 2000 and by 7.5 for fiscal year 2001.
