Amend CSHB 4 as follows:
      (1) On page 18, strike lines 18-25 and substitute the
following:
            (4) a general-purpose committee that accepts political
contributions from a person that in the aggregate exceed $5,000
during the reporting period; and
      (2) On page 21, between lines 5 and 6, insert the following
new SECTION, appropriately numbered, and renumber the subsequent
SECTIONS accordingly:
      SECTION _____.  Section 254.039, Election Code, is amended by
amending Subsection (c) and adding Subsection (d) to read as
follows:
      (c) A general-purpose committee that is required to file a
report under Section 254.0381 is not required to file a report
under this section.
      (d) Section 254.036 does not apply to a report required by
this section.
      (3) On page 35, line 13, strike "Sections 253.036, 253.100
(d), and 254.039" and substitute "Sections 253.036 and 253.100
(d)".
