Amend HB 1603 as follows:
      1.  Strike all of SECTION 3.
      2.  In SECTION 2, add new subsection (q) to read as follows:
            "(q)  Nothing in this article shall prevent a court
from assessing a special expense for deferred disposition in the
same manner as provided for in Article 45.54.  For a deferred
disposition under subsection (b)(1), the court may only collect a
fee up to $10 in addition to any applicable court cost."
