Amend CSHB 2124 by adding the following appropriately
numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of
the bill accordingly:
      SECTION     . Section 82.002(a), Family Code, is amended to
read as follows:
      (a)  An application for a protective order to protect the
applicant or any other member of the applicant's family or
household may be filed by:
            (1)  a <an adult> member of the family or household; or
            (2)  any adult for the protection of a child.
