SECTION 1.  Amend HB 2542, Section 1, on page 1, line 10, by
inserting the following:
      (e)  The candidates elected from odd-numbered precincts at
the election to be held in 2000 shall serve for a term of two
years, and their successor directors shall serve for three-year
terms.
