Amend HB 3016 by adding the following appropriately numbered
SECTION and renumbering subsequent sections accordingly:
      SECTION ____.  Section 14(e), Article 21.58A, Insurance Code,
is amended to read as follows:
      (e)  This article shall not apply to self-funded <the terms
or benefits of> employee welfare benefit plans as defined in
Section 3(1) of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974
(29 U.S.C. Section 1002(1)).
