Amend CSSB 699 as follows: 1. Amend Section 207.031, by inserting new Subsections (g). (h), and (i), and redesignating remaining subsections accordingly: "(g) A petition under this section must contain: (1) a statement of the purpose of the petition; (2) a copy of the proposed amendment language; (3) a summary of the anticipated effect of the amendments; (4) the date the petition was first placed in circulation; (5) the name and telephone number of a person designated by the association to answer questions about the petition and proposed amendments; (6) the date by which a response to the petition is due; (7) the address to which a response is to be sent; (8) the date on which the amendments will become effective; and (9) the date on which the petition will expire if it is not approved. (h) Not later than the 10th day after the petition expires or is adopted, the association shall hand deliver or send a notice to each owner by first class mail to the owner's last known mailing address according to the association's records. The notice must include a copy of the amendment, a statement that the petition was approved or expired, a summary of the effects of the approval if approved, and the effective date of any amendments. (i) A petition under this section expires on the earlier of: (1) the date specified in the petition; or (2) one year after the date on which the petition was first put into circulation." 2. Amend Section 207.061(e), by adding the following on page 5, end of line 57, Senate committee printing: "An owner or association may use alternative dispute resolution services." 3. Amend Section 207.127, by adding the following new subsection (d), on page 13, line 59, Senate committee printing, and redesignating subsequent subsections accordingly: "(d) An owner or association may use alternative dispute resolution services." 4. Amend Section 207.064, by adding subsection (h) on page 8, line 40, Senate committee printing, as follows: "(h) If an owner makes a written request to a board for compliance with this section and provides the board with a copy of this section and Section 207.130, the association shall be liable to the owner under Section 207.130(a) if the board knowingly continues to violate this section."
