Amend SB 717 on third reading in SECTION 1 of the bill in
added Section 128.001, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, by
striking Subsection (d) and substituting the following:
      (d)  Nothing in this section shall prohibit a governmental
unit from bringing:
            (1)  an action against a firearms or ammunition
manufacturer, trade association, or seller for:
                  (A)  recovery of damages for:
                        (i)  breach of contract or warranty as to
firearms or ammunition purchased by a governmental unit;
                        (ii)  damage or harm to property owned or
leased by the governmental unit caused by a defective firearm or
ammunition; or
                        (iii)  personal injury or death, if the
action arises from a governmental unit's claim under a right of
subrogation;
                  (B)  injunctive relief to enforce a valid
ordinance, statute, or regulation; or
                  (C)  contribution under Chapter 33, Civil
Practice and Remedies Code;
