DIGEST

The 75th Legislature created the Chambers County-Cedar Bayou Navigation
District in order to improve the navigability of Cedar Bayou, which forms
part of the boundary between Chambers and Harris counties. However, an
error in the legal description included a residential subdivision in the
district. H.B. 794 corrects this error and will reduce the district's size
by approximately 220 acres.

PURPOSE

As proposed, H.B. 794 amends the boundaries of the Chambers County-Cedar
Bayou Navigation District.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency.
