DIGEST 

Currently, the Human Resources Code does not clarify administration or
compensation for the juvenile board of Montgomery County. H.B. 1877 would
clarify language regarding compensation for members of the juvenile board
of Montgomery County.  

PURPOSE

As proposed, H.B. 1877 requires the commissioners court to pay members of
the juvenile board of Montgomery County additional annual compensation to
be set by the commissioners court. 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency. 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

SECTION 1. Amends Section 152.1761, Human Resources Code, to provide that
Section 152.0003 does not apply to the juvenile board of Montgomery County.
Deletes text regarding $10,000 and additional compensation paid to the
judge of the County Court at Law No. 2 or No. 3 from exceeding the amount
paid to the other members of the board. Deletes text regarding Sections
152.0002, 152.0004, 152.0005, 152.0006, 152.0007, and 152.0008 of the
general provisions subchapter.  

SECTION 2. Emergency clause.
           Effective date: upon passage.
