DIGEST

Currently, the Texas Engineering Practice Act appears to limit the
production of a roster of engineers to a paperback format. Since a vast
majority of engineers regularly use the Internet, a higher level of service
can be realized by placing the roster online and the number of paperback
rosters required to be produced will decrease. H.B. 2300 sets forth
provisions to post a roster of engineers on the Internet and authorizes a
fee for a physical copy of the roster.

PURPOSE

As proposed, H.B. 2300 sets forth provisions to post a roster of engineers
on the Internet and authorizes a fee for a physical copy of the roster.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency.
