DIGEST

Currently, the Texas Department of Health (TDH) is authorized to establish
a registry for persons who are required to comply with certain portions of
the Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Act. According to an
attorney general opinion, under current law TDH may not collect a fee to
add people to this registry. H.B. 2636 would establish conditions
regarding the assessment of certain fees on persons who perform radiologic
procedures.

PURPOSE

As proposed, H.B. 2636 assesses certain fees on persons who perform
radiologic procedures.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency.
