SRC-ARR H.B. 3832 76(R) BILL ANALYSIS Senate Research Center H.B. 3832 76R 7841JMC-FBy: Delisi (Fraser) Intergovernmental Relations 5/11/1999 Engrossed DIGEST Currently, the Bell County Juvenile Board is composed of the county judge, the district judges in Bell County, the judge of the County Court at law No.1, and the judge of the County Court at Law No. 2. Recently, Bell County created the Bell County Court at Law No. 3, the judge of which is not included in the Bell County Juvenile Board. H.B.3832 would include the judges of each county court at law in Bell County to serve as members of the Bell County Juvenile Board. PURPOSE As proposed, H.B. 3832 sets forth composition of the Bell County Juvenile Board. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Amends Section 152.0201(a), Human Resources Code, to provide that the Bell County Juvenile Board is composed of the county judge, the district judges in Bell County, and the judges of each county court at law in the county. SECTION 2. Emergency clause. Effective date: upon passage.
