at each entrance giving notice in both English and Spanish that it is
unlawful to carry a handgun on the premises. This bill would exempt
hospitals and nursing homes from including the number "51" on the sign.

PURPOSE

As proposed, S.B. 131 exempts hospitals and nursing homes from displaying a
sign in each entrance with the number "51" on its face.

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency.
