DIGEST

Currently, under Texas law, certain state agencies file a roster of
licensees with the secretary of state. The secretary of state makes a
record of the filing and then transfers the report to the State Library and
Archives Commission for long-term retention. This bill deletes the
requirement of filing the roster of licensees with the secretary of state
in order to streamline the record-keeping process.

PURPOSE

As enrolled, S.B. 234 deletes text from certain statutes requiring the
roster of certain licensed professionals to be placed on record with the
secretary of state.
