grounds or at a schoolrelated event to be placed in an alternative

injury to another does not currently warrant expulsion. S.B. 260 will
include assault, by a student against school employees or volunteers, as an
offense punishable by expulsion.

PURPOSE

As enrolled, S.B. 260 establishes conditions regarding expulsion of a
public school student who assaults a school employee.
