DIGEST

Currently, Texas law does not provide for the creation of special license
plates benefitting the Girl Scouts. S.B. 322 would create a Girl Scout
license plate similar to many other organizations around the state. The
money raised would not directly go to the Girl Scouts, but would be given
back to the Girl Scouts by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
through a scholarship program.

PURPOSE

As proposed, S.B. 322 creates special license plates benefitting the Girl
Scouts.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency.
