DIGEST

Currently, Texas Law requires health and human services agencies to provide
information to the Texas Information and Referral Network (TIRN), but does
not specify that public or private entities receiving state-appropriated
funds must comply. Some organizations that receive state funds are
implementing separate information and referral systems for health and human
services. This bill will require any public or private health and human
services organization receiving state-appropriated funds to provide
information about their services to the TIRN.

As enrolled, S.B. 397 requires public and private entities that provide
