DIGEST

Currently, a licensed driver age 18 or older who accompanies a student

accompaniment, rather than supervision from the accompanying driver. S.B.

driver by requiring supervision, rather than accompaniment.

PURPOSE

As proposed, S.B. 923 entitles a vehicle operator holding an instruction
permit holder to drive while being supervised by, rather than accompanied
by, a certain person occupying the seat by the operator.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency.
