SRC-JJJ S.B. 1114 76(R) BILL ANALYSIS Senate Research Center S.B. 1114 76R8105 MCK-DBy: Armbrister Economic Development 4/12/1999 As Filed DIGEST Currently, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) has the authority to promulgate rules relaxing certain provisions of Sections 102.14, 102.15, and 108.06 of the Alcoholic Beverage Code. S.B. 1114 would allow the TABC to promulgate rules relaxing the provisions of Section 102.07 of the Alcoholic Beverage Code. PURPOSE As proposed, S.B. 1114 would allow the TABC to promulgate rules relaxing the provisions of Section 102.07 of the Alcoholic Beverage Code. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Amends Section 108.04, Alcoholic Beverage Code, to authorize the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission to promulgate rules relaxing the restrictions of certain sections, including Section 102.07, with respect to certain conditions. Deletes text regarding this code. SECTION 2. Effective date: September 1, 1999. SECTION 3. Emergency clause.
