DIGEST 

Currently, a person who pays child support is not required to submit to
certain courts proof of the obligor's wages.  S.B. 1148 would require a
child support obligor to submit a copy of the obligor's W-2 form to the
court of continuing exclusive jurisdiction. 

PURPOSE

As proposed, S.B. 1148 requires a child support obligor to submit a copy of
the obligor's W-2 form to the court of continuing exclusive jurisdiction. 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency. 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

SECTION 1.  Amends Section 105.006, Family Code, by adding Subsection (i),
to require an order in a suit that orders child support to require the
child support obligor to submit a copy of the obligor's Internal Revenue
Service Form W-2 to the court of continuing exclusive jurisdiction, by June
1 of each year.  

SECTION 2.Effective date:  September 1, 1999.
  Makes application of this Act prospective.
