It is reported that the content of these reports appear to be grossly inaccurate for use by most counties, and there is no evidence that these reports have been used as a basis of an accurate evaluation of the bail bond industry in Texas. This bill will set forth specified duties of county bail bond boards. PURPOSE As enrolled, S.B. 1180 sets forth duties of county bail bond boards. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Repealer: Section 5(f)(8), Article 2372p-3, V.T.C.S. (County Bail Bond Board). SECTION 2.Emergency clause. Effective date: upon passage.
