DIGEST

Currently, Texas state agencies are unable to enter into written agreements
or contracts with agencies of this state, the federal government, or other
states. This bill would authorize Texas state agencies to contract with
other public sector entities in an agreement or contract for the provision
of necessary and authorized services and resources.

PURPOSE

As proposed, S.B. 1505 sets forth guidelines for interagency agreements
between agencies of this state and agencies of the federal government or
other states.

This bill does not grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, institution, or agency.
