                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the Montgomery County Juvenile Board.
 1-3           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-4           SECTION 1.  Section 152.1761, Human Resources Code, is
 1-5     amended to read as follows:
 1-6           Sec. 152.1761.  MONTGOMERY COUNTY.  (a)  The juvenile board
 1-7     of Montgomery County is composed of the county judge, the district
 1-8     judges in Montgomery County, and the judge of each county court at
 1-9     law.
1-10           (b)  The commissioners court shall pay the juvenile board
1-11     members additional annual compensation set by the commissioners
1-12     court at not less than $3,000 [nor more than $10,000], payable in
1-13     equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county.
1-14     [The additional compensation paid to the judge of the County Court
1-15     at Law No. 2 or No. 3 may not exceed the amount paid to the other
1-16     members of the board.]
1-17           (c)  Section [Sections 152.0002,] 152.0003 does [, 152.0004,
1-18     152.0005, 152.0006, 152.0007, and 152.0008 of the general
1-19     provisions subchapter do] not apply to the juvenile board of
1-20     Montgomery County.
1-21           SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
1-22     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-23     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-24     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
 2-1     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
 2-2     and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
 2-3     passage, and it is so enacted.
