 1-6                            A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-7                                   AN ACT
 1-8     relating to the powers of a limited liability company.
 1-9           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-10           SECTION 1.  Article 2.02, Texas Limited Liability Company Act
1-11     (Article 1528n, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes), is amended by
1-12     adding Section D to read as follows:
1-13           D.  A limited liability company engaged as a common carrier
1-14     in the pipeline business for transporting oil, oil products, gas,
1-15     carbon dioxide, salt brine, fuller's earth, sand, clay, liquefied
1-16     minerals, or other mineral solutions has all of the rights and
1-17     powers conferred by Sections 111.019-111.022, Natural Resources
1-18     Code.
1-19           SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 1999.
1-20           SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the
1-21     crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-22     emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-23     constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-24     days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
