Section 243.008, Local Government Code, is 1-13 amended to read as follows: 1-14 Sec. 243.008. INSPECTION. (a) A municipality or county may 1-15 inspect a sexually oriented business to determine compliance with 1-16 this chapter and regulations adopted under this chapter by the 1-17 municipality or county. 1-18 (b) By obtaining a permit or license under Section 243.007, 1-19 a sexually oriented business that permits the consumption of 1-20 alcoholic beverages on the premises consents to the entry by a 1-21 representative of the municipality or county issuing the permit or 1-22 license or by a peace officer for the purpose of inspecting the 1-23 premises for a violation of law. 1-24 SECTION 2. The importance of this legislation and the 1-25 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-26 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-27 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-28 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended, 1-29 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its 1-30 passage, and it is so enacted. 1-31 * * * * *
