1-1 AN ACT 1-2 relating to the salary of the county judge of Dallas County. 1-3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-4 SECTION 1. Section 152.904, Local Government Code, is 1-5 amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: 1-6 (f) The commissioners court of Dallas County shall set the 1-7 annual salary of the county judge at an amount that is not less 1-8 than $1,000 more than the total annual salary received by a county 1-9 criminal court at law judge in the county. The salary shall be 1-10 paid in 12 equal monthly installments. 1-11 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only 1-12 to a salary of the county judge in Dallas County that is set by the 1-13 commissioners court on or after the effective date of this Act. 1-14 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the 1-15 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-16 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-17 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-18 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended, 1-19 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its 1-20 passage, and it is so enacted. _______________________________ _______________________________ President of the Senate Speaker of the House I certify that H.B.
