1-7 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-8 AN ACT
1-9 relating to the salary of the county judge of Dallas County.
1-11 SECTION 1. Section 152.904, Local Government Code, is
1-12 amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
1-13 (f) The commissioners court of Dallas County shall set the
1-14 annual salary of the county judge at an amount that is not less
1-15 than $1,000 more than the total annual salary received by a county
1-16 criminal court at law judge in the county. The salary shall be
1-17 paid in 12 equal monthly installments.
1-18 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
1-19 to a salary of the county judge in Dallas County that is set by the
1-20 commissioners court on or after the effective date of this Act.
1-21 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the
1-22 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-23 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-24 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-25 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
1-26 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
1-27 passage, and it is so enacted.
