1-1 AN ACT
1-2 relating to permitting a commissioners court to authorize payment
1-3 of certain continuing education expenses incurred by elected county
 1-4 and precinct officers.
1-5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-6 SECTION 1. Subchapter Z, Chapter 152, Local Government Code,

1-8 Sec. 152.907. CONTINUING EDUCATION EXPENSES FOR COUNTY AND
1-9 PRECINCT OFFICERS. The commissioners court of a county may

1-11 incurred by a county or precinct officer if the expenses are

1-13 incurred by the officer between the general election at which the
1-14 officer is elected and the beginning of the officer's term of
1-15 office.
1-16 SECTION 2. The importance of this legislation and the
1-17 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-18 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
