HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 1-1           WHEREAS, The passing of Wilma Shuster on July 15, 1998, at
 1-2     the age of 70, has brought a great loss to the many friends and
 1-3     relatives of this esteemed Fort Stockton resident; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Born November 17, 1927, in Spur, she relocated to
 1-5     Pecos and later moved to Fort Stockton; an industrious and
 1-6     motivated individual, Mrs. Shuster demonstrated outstanding
 1-7     business acumen as the successful operator of a retail enterprise;
 1-8     and
 1-9           WHEREAS, She was also deeply devoted to her roles as loving
1-10     wife and mother and shared her religious faith as an active member
1-11     of the First Christian Church; and
1-12           WHEREAS, Wilma Shuster was a woman of rare compassion and
1-13     generosity, and although her warmth and wisdom are gone from us
1-14     now, her remarkable spirit will surely live on in the hearts of the
1-15     many people whose lives she touched during her time on this earth;
1-16     now, therefore, be it
1-17           RESOLVED, That the 76th Legislature of the State of Texas
1-18     hereby pay tribute to the life of Wilma Shuster and extend sincere
1-19     sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, Martin
1-20     Shuster; to her sons, Joe Shuster, Bobby Shuster, and David
1-21     Shuster; to her brother, Billy Joe Hinson; to her six
1-22     grandchildren; and to the many other friends and relatives of this
1-23     beloved woman; and, be it further
1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-1     prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas
 2-2     House of Representatives and Texas Senate adjourn this day, they do
 2-3     so in memory of Wilma Shuster.
