HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas Legislature is proud to honor Doris Hill 1-2 on her selection as one of the Fort Worth Independent School 1-3 District's Outstanding Teachers; and 1-4 WHEREAS, This noteworthy individual was recently honored at 1-5 the school district's 14th Annual Outstanding Teacher Recognition 1-6 Dinner; hosted by local businesses and district officials, the 1-7 dinner took place at the Round Up Inn in the Amon G. Carter, Jr., 1-8 Exhibits Hall and featured a swing-time theme; and 1-9 WHEREAS, A teacher at E. M. Daggett Middle School, she and 1-10 the other exemplary educators chosen to be honored were selected by 1-11 their peers for their commitment and dedication to students; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious 1-13 natural resource, and a quality education is vital in order for our 1-14 young people to achieve their full potential; Doris Hill has 1-15 demonstrated the drive and determination that we expect from our 1-16 teachers, and she is truly deserving of special legislative 1-17 recognition for her diligence and commitment to excellence in this 1-18 demanding profession; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the 76th Legislature of the State of Texas 1-20 hereby congratulate Doris Hill for being named one of the Fort 1-21 Worth Independent School District's Outstanding Teachers and 1-22 commend her for her superior service to the children of Texas; and, 1-23 be it further 1-24 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-1 prepared for this esteemed individual as an expression of high 2-2 regard by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
