HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 1-1           WHEREAS, The impressive accomplishments of O. D. Wyatt High
 1-2     School track coach Lee Williams and the members of the 1998 boys'
 1-3     track team are truly worthy of special recognition; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Coach Williams was deservedly selected by the
 1-5     National Federation of Coaches Association as the 1998 track and
 1-6     field coach of the year for the State of Texas; his O. D. Wyatt
 1-7     High School boys' track team set national records in the 4x100 and
 1-8     the 4x200 relays while earning the 1998 UIL Class 5A state title;
 1-9     and
1-10           WHEREAS, Winning the 1998 state championship and setting
1-11     numerous national records are an apt reflection of the many
1-12     grueling hours of training put forth by the entire O. D. Wyatt
1-13     team, whose members include Sylvester Baty, D'Juan Bivins, Michael
1-14     Franklin, Monte Clopton, Kemon Rodgers, Milton Wesley, DeMario
1-15     Wesley, and Dee Williams; and
1-16           WHEREAS, The dedication to excellence and competitive spirit
1-17     of Coach Lee Williams and the members of the 1998 O. D. Wyatt High
1-18     School boys' track team are truly commendable, and it is indeed
1-19     fitting to honor them for their significant achievements at this
1-20     time; now, therefore, be it
1-21           RESOLVED, That the 76th Legislature of the State of Texas
1-22     hereby congratulate Coach Lee Williams and the members of the O. D.
1-23     Wyatt High School track team for their outstanding success in the
1-24     1998 season and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
 2-1     success and happiness; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for Coach Williams and the O. D. Wyatt High School track
 2-4     team as a token of high regard from the Texas House of
 2-5     Representatives and Senate.
